Hello! Thanks for checking out my site and at least being interested in Sin Eaters and my other writings. The last eight months since my book’s publication have been an extreme whirlwind. I’ve taken my book to a number of festivals, participated in at least a dozen readings, and secured a new job in a new state! I’m currently the Visiting Assistant Professor of Creative Writing at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Over the summer I took part in Short Story Fest and in the Orcas Island Lit Fest, both of which were incredibly rewarding. More recently, I’ve participated in a St. Thomas Faculty Colloquium, the SLP All Together Now Reading, and the forthcoming Season 3 of Short Stack Stories.
On November 10 I’ll be reading with the author Allison Wyss at Subtext Books in St. Paul, MN. If you’re in the Twin Cities region, feel free to come see us!
I’ve got more book promotional work in the coming months, especially surrounding AWP 2023 in Seattle! I’m really proud of Sin Eaters, and I’ve really come to enjoy interacting with readers. The fact that anyone is interested in my work still astounds me, and I don’t take it for granted.
As to what’s next, I am of course continuing to write and am hard at work on a novel. I know I’ve done it backwards (publishing the story collection before the novel), but it’s what makes sense for me and my work. Hopefully I’ll have some news on that soon. In the meantime, thank you for your love and support!
